St Martins’ Co-production group, which includes staff and service user members from all our services, has begun 2019 by focusing on generating small jobs and enterprise. Service users are employed to do cleaning and gardening around our services. We are also developing some further roles which include giving motivational talks on psychiatric wards, for patients who are considering making a transition to living in the community. Another role we are currently discussing is a delivery person who can pick up free food as part of the Fare Share scheme we have signed up to. We are also looking into how service users can sit on interview panels when we recruit new staff and join our professional assessors when they meet people in hospital who have been referred to St Martins.
